Our foundation
bitch, Ch. Waverleyglen Mistress Clarinda (Claire), was a phenomenal mother.
She delivered her first litter in late 2007 on her due date without even a
whimper. This litter was made up of 6 puppies (5 girls and 1 boy). She kept them clean and fed and entertained for 10 weeks and then
went back to being her playful, calm, trim self.

Ch. Waverleyglen
Marathon Man 2nd (Fergus), our stud dog, was helpful and
protective of his first litter. He would sit by the whelping pen whenever
Claire went outside and mind his own business when she returned to the
litter. (View Fergus'
Pedigree)
Before we bred
Claire and Fergus, we showed them both to their CKC championships as owner
handlers. We still travel throughout the Maritimes and occasionally to
Ontario and the U.S. to dog shows to promote our breed.
Both Claire and Ferg are
Canadian Champions. They both have excellent hips and eyes. We have their
kidneys and bowels screened on a yearly basis for signs of PLE/PLN. They are
from the Waverleyglen line and are bred for health, conformation and
personality. We are responsible CKC breeders and we try to find the best
possible homes for our puppies. They are well sociaIized with children and
other dogs before we place them at 9 or 10 weeks.
These 2 dogs
became part of our family and our retirement project with much care and
guidance from Jan and Bill Cunningham of the Waverleyglen line of Wheatens.
Jan and Bill have been raising quality Wheatens for many years and we
are fortunate to be able to ride on their coat tails.
